The Alternate Ambassador of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Joaquín Pérez Ayestarán, denounced on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the countries that make up the Group of Friends in Defense of UN charterthe abuses of the United States (USA) on issues of sovereign equality of the nations of the world.
“In the absence of concrete, practical and tangible solutions, and in the face of the repeated breach by the US of its obligations as a Host Country of the UN, we demand that the Secretary General Antonio Guterres initiate an arbitration process without further delay, as a guarantee of treatment fair and equitable for all,” Pérez reported on his Twitter account.
Likewise, he highlighted that Venezuela reaffirmed the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its commitment to the success of the Summit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
“We urge you, in view of the preparatory process for the SDG Summit and subsequent Summit of the Future, to present proposals that help overcome the systemic crisis that the illegal application of “sanctions” has triggered throughout the international relations system” he expressed.
In this sense, the Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the UN highlighted on its Twitter account that the US must “respect the principle of sovereign equality of States; and put an end to its selective and arbitrary policies based on clear bilateral differences”
