The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemns the cowardly and brutal attack perpetrated by the rapid support forces (RSF) against the Saudi hospital of El Estra, in the Republic of Sudan.
The information was disseminated by the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil through an official statement published in his Telegram channel where it is indicated that this terrorist act, which has claimed the lives of more than 70 innocent civilians, mostly women and children , constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and a crime against humanity.
“The vile attack, directed deliberately against a hospital, a place that should be a safe refuge for the sick and injured, demonstrates the cruelty and contempt for the human life of the RSF. The use of drones to attack the emergency department reveals a clear intention to cause the greatest possible damage to the civilian population, ”says the letter.
In the statement, Venezuela expresses the deepest solidarity towards the people and the government of the Republic of Sudan in these difficult times. “We pay tribute to the victims of this atrocity and offer our most condolences to their family and friends, while reiterating their full support for the struggle of a future of peace and stability.”
