The journalist and promoter of tourism in Venezuela, Valentina Quintero, revealed that, after her comment on social networks about the “matraca” in the alcabalas by security officials and the response she received from the Minister of the Interior and Justice, Remigio Ceballos, was contacted by phone by the senior official to express her complaint about what was said on Instagram.
As will be remembered, on Saturday, July 16, Quintero uploaded a video to express their claim against the alcabalas arranged by security officials. He assured that this is the “real danger” that exists on the roads, along with the illegal collection of money for letting them travel.
His video had a response from several people of different ideologies, but also from Minister Ceballos. There he told her that it was “irresponsible” to make generalizations about the actions of the security forces that is “framed in professional ethics.”

Valentina Quintero, in an interview with the whistlecommented that the major general and former head of Ceofan contacted her by phone and, according to the journalist, she felt that the head of the Interior and Justice was “annoyed” because he was “emphatic” in his approaches.
He indicated that Ceballos told him that people should report to the corresponding authorities and that in his administration emphasis has been placed on the population doing its part to minimize this type of irregularity, but he stressed that he did not tell him that his complaint was “generalized.” ; just as he wrote on the account.
He stated that he responded to the minister by telling him that this “rattle” situation occurs in the country and that it has been denounced ad nauseam.
He commented that there are checkpoints on all the highways in the country, but that there is more evidence on the road to Oriente, the Andes and towards the border areas with Colombia. He reiterated his recommendation to have all the papers in order and that way they do not bother passers-by, although he did clarify that in some cases officials can insist on any excuse to take money from them.
