The state electric power company was awarded for the second consecutive year with the Gold award, granted by the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER), in the context of the Pathways for Excellence in Distribution Services and Customer Relations seminar. The award is defined after a regional satisfaction survey in which 35 companies from 12 Latin American countries participated.
The head of UTE, Silvia Emaldi, explained that the seminar, between Monday 26 and Wednesday 28, in Montevideo, is a space for exchanging experiences with experts and professionals from companies dedicated to electricity in the region, which were cataloged with the highest level of recognition by its customers.
Likewise, he indicated that more than 150 executives, technicians and suppliers involved in the process of distribution and commercial management of firms in the sector from 15 states of Latin America and the Caribbean participate, and highlighted some experiences presented by representatives of other countries, such as the development of digital media to improve and personalize communication with customers.
In this sense, he pointed out that UTE was distinguished for the second consecutive year with the Gold award, for being the company in the region best evaluated by its clients. A total of 35 companies from 12 countries in the region participated in the survey on electricity service quality and satisfaction.
The hierarch highlighted that the results of the surveys constitute a reference input for the general purpose of achieving the highest quality in the service.
In addition, he indicated that an application developed by UTE was presented at the conference that georeferences smart meters, already installed in 60% of homes, which allows immediate detection of lack of electricity or service failures. In addition, he pointed out that smart metering optimizes resources and waiting times, since consumption measurements are transmitted to the central server every 15 minutes. This input also allows remote reconnections, power changes, rate changes, among other services.
