Biagio Pilieri was arrested on August 28 by Sebin officials after participating in an event two months after the elections.

Biagio Pilieri was arrested along with his son, Jesús Pilieri, on August 28 after participating in the mobilization called by the Unitary Platform and the coordinator of Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado, to commemorate two months of the presidential elections in the that the opposition claims that the opposition presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, won.
