After the Russian Army took the towns of Loskutivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka in eastern Ukraine, this Friday, June 24, the Ukrainian forces were ordered to withdraw from Severodonetsk, a city that has been the scene of fighting and is crucial in the Russian plan to control the Donbas industrial basin.
Through Telegram, the governor of Donetsk, Pavlo Kyrylenko, assured that Severodonetsk has been “almost reduced to rubble” by the continuous bombing. “All essential infrastructure has been destroyed. 90% of the city is damaged, 80% of the houses will have to be destroyed », he said.
He warned that the fighting is intensifying in that region and that no city is safe for the inhabitants.
He explained that in some towns the supply lines could be cut at any time and that volunteers are working around the clock to evacuate residents who have not yet left.
