At the time of announcing the creation of five work commissions, the new rector Editrudis Beltran said that his management would work hard so that the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD)reach the rank of excellence.
Beltran stated that the time has come for the family uasdiana work together to carry out the transformations that Dominican society requires.
He said that -from today- “’we will do what is necessary so that the Primate of America has a common agenda and moves from inertia to excellence’”.
The new incumbent of the rectory of the oldest university of the American continent, summarized the main goals to be achieved by his team.
In this sense, and especially addressing the President of the Republic, Bachelor Luis Abinaderand the others present, Editrudis Beltrán pointed out that the goal to be achieved is stronger than the adversities that the academy and the country have experienced after the corona virus 19 pandemic.

I express that the Uasdian community believes that it can be done and is there to defy all predictions and they are going to do that the UASD becomes in a more agile and competitive academy.

THE COMMISSIONS FORMED
With respect to the commissions formed, the new rector meant that -with their creation- these organisms will play their role to implement modern management, spending efficiency, creativity and strategic administration.
In this sense, he commissioned the Administrative Vice-Rectory to apply an audit of all the units responsible for financial processes and procedures.
As such, this provision will be made every six months to strengthen the culture of transparency, quality of spending and accountability.
Similarly, teacher Editrudis Beltrán specified that he empowered the Operational Reform Commission so that, within a period of no more than 90 days, it must study the administrative mechanisms and define the execution strategy.
That will be to respond to the promise of achieving a gradual dismantling of the teaching load.
In the same way, the new Uasdiano rector observed that the objective is to propose alternatives to solve the problem of overcrowding in the classrooms.
Likewise, the Operational Reform Commission must create the application methodology to start the process of reviewing and updating all careers in the nine faculties of the UASD.
That body will also be in charge of defining the policy for the beginning of the decentralization process of administrative services, until achieving zero bureaucracy in the procedures within the UASD.

During his speech, the teacher Editrudis Beltrán reported the constitution of the Linkage and Alliances Commission.
Its functions will be immediately to renew the relations of the UASD with the different sectors of national life.

The purpose is to reconnect the academy at the center of the debate on national issues and create public-private collaborations to support, from the academy, the solution of public problems in the country.
It will be led by the Extension Vice-Rectory.
Similarly, Beltrán ordered the formation of the Commission for Institutional Strengthening.
This body will have the objective of solving the own inconveniences that will be generated with respect to the deep process. of changes that would transform and impact on the administrative dynamics, affecting the institutional culture and -with she- the procedures and formalities.
The aforementioned unit would be under the responsibility of the Administrative Vice-Rectory and must present an in-depth process improvement audit within a period not exceeding 60 days.
During his presentation, the debutant Uasdiano rector reported the renovation of the institution’s classrooms.
The decision is to carry out a pilot plan and turn them into smart classrooms.
in that partand explaining to the nation’s president, professors, students and university servants, Editrudis Beltrán stated that it will be done the experiment with a classroom at nine o’clock faculties.
The model will be shown nationally.
