Two police officials were arrested for allegedly being involved in the execution of a kidnapping, according to judicial sources.
One of the detainees is allegedly a Cicpc official, identified as Marcelo Efraín Aguilar Martínez (detective-chief) and the other, Andrés José Flores Ramírez, from the municipal police of La Guaira, who were captured in Los Teques (Miranda), by agents assigned to the Polimiranda Criminal Investigation Directorate.
The detainees were presumably participating along with other people in the logistics of the kidnapping of a merchant.
Precisely, the policemen were captured when they followed up on the person who would be kidnapped, who was moving from Caracas to the capital of Miranda.
The other two allegedly involved in the incident are: Roberto Antonio Vielma and Leonardo Alberto Peraza González.
At the time of capture, they seized two radio transmitters, two firearms and a Grand Cheroke vehicle.
In the verification of the seized telephone equipment, they located conversations and sounds related to the follow-up of the victim who would be kidnapped, says the Polimiranda report.
Miranda’s superior prosecutor, Mireya Taquiva, was informed of the procedure.
