Cicpc agents arrested two Corpoelec employees for their alleged connection with the theft of strategic materials from the aforementioned state company.
According to a report, the detainees are identified as Johan José Bravo (49) and Eduwin José Alcalá Rojas (44), who were captured in the El Rosario urbanization, Santa Catalina parish of the Bermúdez municipality (Carúpano) in the state of Sucre.
They presented an arrest warrant issued by the Court of First Instance in Control Functions with Competence in Economic Illicits.
After learning of the incident, the Ministry of Electric Energy, headed by Jorge Márquez, expressed full support for the police action.
Through a statement it is noted that Márquez, responsible for the telecommunications engine, “maintains a fierce fight against corruption, as well as against criminal practices that expose the facilities of the National Electric System to damage, attack, sabotage or deteriorate the integrity.” ‘.
