The return match will be on Monday (25), at 20:15 (Brasília time), again at Zerão. The champion secures a spot in the Copa do Brasil and Verde and in the Série D of the 2023 Brazilian Championship.

Striker Wandinho, in the 41st minute of the first half, opened the scoring for Independente, dribbling the goalkeeper. At 12 minutes of the final stage, midfielder Dudu completed the deflection of the head of defender Ronny and left everything the same. Five minutes later, winger Ilailson built the move from the right and Wandinho hit to put Carcará ahead. In celebration, he climbed the fence and was expelled. In extra time, midfielder Valker took advantage of a wrong departure from defender Rui Gabriel to equalize the score again and avoid Locomotiva’s defeat.

Independente seeks the sixth title in Amapá, being the third in the professional phase of the State, which started in 1991. Trem, current champion, tries to lift the cup for the seventh time in history (the fifth in the professional era).

With 17 victories, Macapá is the biggest state champion, also considering the amateur phase, which began in 1944. Taking into account only the professional era, Ypiranga leads, with nine trophies in the period.
