The executive branch issued this Thursday a decree that determines the distribution of members of Casa de Galicia to five other mutualists after the cessation of activities. Users will be reassigned to the Evangelical Hospital, Catholic Circle, Uruguayan Center for Medical Assistance, Cudam and the universal medical societyaccording to your identification number.
The measure comes after the protest led by this Thursday the members of the medical center in front of the Executive Towerin which they demanded a dialogue with President Luis Lacalle Pou to “sit down to negotiate” about the company’s financing problems.
What will the reassignment be like?
Members whose identity documents end in 0 or 9 will be sent to the Universal Medical Society, while those with 1 or 5 as the last digit of the ID they will go to the Evangelical Hospital.
On the other hand, those with termination 3 and 7 will be reassigned to Cudam and those who are 2, 4, 6 and 8 will go to the Catholic Circleas established by the resolution.
The opinion states that the resident partners of Silver City (Saint Joseph) will have affiliation to the Catholic Circle in all cases, regardless of its last digit. In turn, those of Peace and the Stones (Cannelloni) will be shared between Círculo Católico (0 and 6), the mutualist of Canelones Crami (1, 3 and 5), SMU (2, 4 and 8) and Cudam (7 and 9).
In addition -he indicates- in case of not being satisfied with the change, users will have the possibility of changing to any of the mutual companies contemplated for a period of 30 days.
Last Monday, a group of more than 600 members of Casa de Galicia presented an appeal of unconstitutionality to the Supreme Court of Justice to suspend Law 20,022, approved by Parliament, which aims to reassign members and officials of the mutual, as reported to The Observer the lawyer Juan Ceretta.
The cessation of activities of Casa de Galicia occurred on December 23. The resolution was given after the request of the syndicate.
