Military agents detained a man who was transporting six containers of liquid cocaine, according to military sources.
The captured person is identified as José Ramón Galvis Durán, who was traveling in a public transport unit from Maracaibo (Zulia) bound for Barquisimeto (Lara), according to a report from Detachment 111 of the Bolivarian National Guard.
The subject’s arrest occurred at the citizen service point located in Punta de Piedra, a bridge over Lake Maracaibo. The six plastic containers yielded a total weight of 5 kilos 740 grams of cocaine.
In another anti-drug procedure, GNB officials unearthed six plants of cannabis, raw material to produce marijuana.
The plantation was located in the El Pueblito sector, Boconó municipality, Trujillo state, according to a report from Detachment 231 of the GNB. The alleged owner of the bushes was detained and identified as Alex Yohan Torres Azuaje, from whom a 12-gauge shotgun was seized.
And in the El Limón sector, José Rafael Revenga (El Consejo) Aragua municipality, the military obtained an abandoned drug panel known as perico, hidden in the seat of a motorcycle.
