The criminals took belongings valued at approximately $30,000.
The theft occurred in the early morning hours, while no one was home. Only in the afternoon, a neighbor noticed that a gate had been forced and a window was open, so he alerted the former senator. Upon arriving at the scene, Carrera noted the absence of several valuable items, including a laptop, a video game console, bottles of whiskey and other items.
The Police are investigating the details of the robbery and how the criminals managed to access the place.
