They present a proposal to modify the war video game law

During the Forum “Artificial Intelligence Big Data and the New Challenges of Science, Technology and Innovation”, which took place on Friday at the Bolivian Museum, a proposal was made to amend the Law for the Prohibition of War Video Games and War Toys, as a contribution to technological development.

At the event, organized by the Permanent Commission for Education, Health, Science, Technology and Innovation, the president of the Venezuelan Federation of Electronic Sports, Emgelbert Farfán, explained that there is a historical debt with the law promulgated in 2009, for which It intends to revert the prohibitive schemes towards a regulation of use and content classification that orders videogames according to age.

He said that in recent years they have worked with the legislative body, in order to cooperate in the adaptation of the legal instrument in the ecosystem of video games and electronic sports, such as its impact on the educational structure of Venezuela.

The proposal is aimed at the integration of a manual of applicability of the law, with a constructive approach that impacts the video game industry and human, academic, technological development and business models, in order to expand skills in mathematical operations. , correlate and improve teamwork.

Farfán referred to electronic sports and its impact within the economic models of human resource development and new technologies at an international level. “Although electronic sports are not seen as physical activity, they are classified in the high performance category, with coaches and everything that a sports discipline implies,” he added.

He reported that a proposal was presented to the Miranda state government, which includes the development of the technology park in four specific axes, such as tourism, the development of electronic sports, video games and education.

They will review other laws in the technology sector

The president of the Permanent Commission of Education, Health, Science, Technology and Innovation of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Ricardo Sánchez (AC/Nacional), informed that in the coming weeks technical work groups will be held to review the legal instruments related to science and innovation in the field of disruptive technology.

This statement was made by parliamentarian Sánchez during the “Big Data Artificial Intelligence” forum, held at the Bolivian Museum, this Friday, in order to publicize the new challenges and technological challenges.

Sánchez indicated that the activity raised different approaches, reflections, advantages, opportunities and threats to society in the application of big data artificial intelligence. He stressed that thanks to these approaches, the legislative work of the parliamentary body in the health, education and military sectors can be nurtured.

In turn, the possible potential of new innovative technologies in the agricultural sectors, oleochemicals for the oil industry, as well as big data and artificial intelligence, were raised.
