They issue surveillance notice until Tuesday, November 9, due to the displacement of the cold front

The National Civil Protection System of Panama (Sinaproc), issued a surveillance notice from this Sunday 07 to Tuesday November 9, due to rains and storms, due to the displacement of cold front # 2 over Central America.

For the next few days, the Hydrometeorology Directorate of the Electric Transmission Company (Etesa), SA expects the saturation of the soils, increasing the levels of streams and rivers; in addition flooded streets, saturation of sewers and landslides.

The rains are expected to be between 10 mm and 30 mm or liters of water per square meter this Sunday; between 30 mm and 70 mm on Monday 8; and between 30 mm and 60 mm, on Tuesday, November 9.

The areas under notice are the provinces of Bocas del Toro, the northern region and the mountainous areas of Veraguas, Colón, Darién, Panama, the northern region of Panamá Oeste and Coclé, Los Santos, Herrera, Chiriquí (mainly Highlands), the Guna Yala, Ngäbe-Buglé, and Emberá Wounaan regions.
