The founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is the subject of investigation by the US authorities in relation to his attempted purchase of the Twitter company.
The company’s lawyers revealed this Thursday that the billionaire is the subject of an investigation as a result of Musk’s attitude in the company’s acquisition process, according to Bloomberg.
“Elon Musk is being investigated by federal authorities for his conduct in connection with the Twitter acquisition,” the attorneys wrote in a filing dated Oct. 6.
Twitter is asking the court for access to documents that Musk has turned over to authorities. “Through counsel, he has exchanged substantive correspondence with those authorities regarding their investigations of him. Twitter wants those documents, because they have to do with key issues in this litigation, “the lawyers have assured.
