The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) reported on the installation of several checkpoints to locate people requested by the Venezuelan justice system.
The information was released by the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, who shared the details through his Instagram account.
Rico explained that these security devices were installed in several states of the country, which are intended for the “search and capture of people required by the different courts throughout the national territory.”
He pointed out that this measure seeks to continue the reduction of crime and gave as an example that the capture of two subjects was achieved who, when verified in the Police Investigation and Information System (Siipol), were wanted for the crimes of homicide and threats to several points of the country.
Captured at points
The director of the Cicpc said that in the Chiquinquirá parish, Maracaibo municipality, Zulia state, the Coordination of Strategic Operations of the Maracaibo Municipal Delegation, captured Jehofer Argenis Paz Piña, 31 years old, who was requested by the First Control Court of the Zulia state, for aggravated threat.
While in the Altagracia parish, Sucre municipality, Cumaná, Sucre state, a police commission attached to the Cumaná Municipal Delegation, managed to capture Eliberto Ramón Esparragoza Velázquez, 36 years old, who is requested by the Sixth Municipal Control Court of the Criminal Judicial District of the state of Sucre, for qualified homicide.
Rico explained that both subjects were subject to the order of the corresponding Judicial District.
