The Secretary of Energy of the Nation, Flavia Royón, met with the operators of the hydrocarbon sector in her first work table to begin with the filling of the President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline (GNPK), which will allow work to guarantee the supply of gas at reasonable prices for next winter and reduce fuel imports.

The meeting was held in within the framework of the announcements made by the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa at the opening of the Patagonian edition of Argentina Oil & Gas, held last week in the city of Neuquén.

The meeting was attended by the president of YPF, Pablo González; the president and CEO of Tecpetrol, Ricardo Markous; the Chairman of Total Energies, Javier Rielo, the CEO of Total Energies, Humberto Benedetti; the CEO of Pampa Energía, Gustavo Mariani.

Also present were the executive director of Pampa Energía, Horacio Turri; the general manager of Pluspetrol, German Macchi; for PAE, the Gas and Elect Manager, Favio Jeambeaut, and PAE IR Manager, Gaston Malbos; the president of CGC, Hugo Eurnekian and the Commercial Director of CGC, Emilio Nadra.

The purpose of the table is to work with oil companies to explore, analyze and apply the best investment, production and marketing schemes for natural gas to increase the production of the resource to be transported by the gas pipeline under construction.

For the development of the work table, a weekly meeting frequencywith technical teams from the Ministry of Energy, as well as from Energía Argentina -the company responsible for the construction- and the actors of the hydrocarbon industry.

Thus, it is expected that the next meeting will be held on Friday August 26 in the province of Neuquén.

The President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline It will expand the gas transportation system from the Vaca Muerta formation and provide it with higher levels of reliability, safety and efficiency, making it possible to transport incremental production to the main consumption centers in the country.

That same work will allow projecting new infrastructure works to reach the external markets of the region and the worldin both cases with its impact on the saving of subsidies and the generation of foreign exchange.
