This Tuesday they found, in the waters of the small Santa Lucia River, the body of a young 20-year-old soldier who had been missing for three days.
The discovery occurred in the waters of the Santa Lucía River in the jurisdiction of the department of Florida. Since May 28, this person had been reported as absent after a woman notified the authorities. At that time, the Florida Police Headquarters requested her collaboration at the time to find her whereabouts.
The deceased belonged to the Infantry Battalion No. 4 of Colonia del Sacramento. Florida Police Chief José Azambuya indicated that his location was the result of an intense search that focused on reconstructing what this person did the night he disappeared.
The investigations indicate, according to Azambuya, that the death of the young soldier was an accident. However, the authorities carried out a lifting of the body for a forensic team to check it.
According to the police chief, the young man was in Florida due to an event. “On Friday night for Saturday, with other soldiers, he goes out for a walk to get to know the city and at a certain moment in a dance venue located in the center he moves away and is no longer seen,” explained the hierarch. At that time, the disappearance report was made.
