On Wednesday morning, the body of a man was found inside a cajeta in a garbage dump, located on Calle 12, Avenida Justo Arosemena, in the province of Colón.
Passers-by immediately alerted the National Police, who arrived at the site and closed the perimeter with tape to prevent onlookers from contaminating the scene.
A source reported that the body had wounds and blood, but it is unknown if these injuries were caused by a knife or a firearm.
Personnel from the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) of the National Police and the Public Ministry remain at the site.
