In the district of Machu Picchu, belonging to the province of Urubamba (Cusco), the Regional Management of Transport and Communications Cusco proceeded with an audit of the company Consettur Machupicchu, concessionaire and operator of the Hiram Bingham route.

The unannounced inspection had as its objective inspect legal compliance and the proper functioning of the 24 vehicle units with which locals and tourists travel to the world wonder.

FACT:

– The Hiram Bingham route is the only means of access with vehicles that transports passengers from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The section is approximately eight kilometers long and the travel time is about 20 minutes.
