In the district of Machu Picchu, belonging to the province of Urubamba (Cusco), the Regional Management of Transport and Communications Cusco proceeded with an audit of the company Consettur Machupicchu, concessionaire and operator of the Hiram Bingham route.

The unannounced inspection had as its objective inspect legal compliance and the proper functioning of the 24 vehicle units with which locals and tourists travel to the world wonder.
“We are pleased to have the presence of the Transportation Management of Cusco, governing body and competent in this way, these unexpected works allow us to always be prepared to provide a good service. So far our company has adopted all the recommendations of the authority, happily we have been operating in optimal conditions”, asserted Darío Zúñiga, general manager of Consettur.
The worker also mentioned that they presented all the documentation of the consortium, in addition to verifying the validity of the authorization issued by the Regional Transportation Management of Cusco, insurance for accidents and authorized drivers with an A3C license, andAmong other technical and legal aspects that your company’s vehicle units have.
– The Hiram Bingham route is the only means of access with vehicles that transports passengers from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The section is approximately eight kilometers long and the travel time is about 20 minutes.
