In the state of Portuguesa, a 46-year-old citizen was captured who allegedly tried to kill his partner, causing three serious injuries to the neck and breast region with a knife.
The detainee was identified as Enrique Antonio León Pérez, a Venezuelan, and according to the region’s Secretary of Citizen Security, Luis Medina, he is the subject of a criminal investigation, as established by the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Violence Free Life.
The police report indicates that the events occurred in the Las Colinas neighborhood, Ospino municipality, on the afternoon of Sunday, June 9, in the midst of a heated discussion that led the man to lash out at his common-law wife, Marisol del Carmen Piñero, 36. , today confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Miguel Oráa hospital in Guanare.
Medina reported that the lady is under specialized medical attention, with two stab wounds to the neck, both on the left and right sides, and a penetrating puncture wound in the left mammary region.
