With the argument that they have a heavy workload, the Chamber of Deputies authorized a budget increase of 14.9 million pesos per year for 10 commissions, to hire and pay consultants.

Despite the austerity measures, the Administration Committee pointed out that these commissions have a significant loadbut only those of Constitutional Points, Finance and Justice have a history of 307, 251 and 100 initiatives, respectively.

The committee, where representatives of all the benches in San Lázaro participate, guaranteed that seven have a financial ceiling of 143 thousand 711.89 pesos per month for the payment of advisors, and the other three, 79 thousand 781.89 each, also every month.

Those with the greatest margin of resources are the Budget, Finance, Government, Constitutional Points, Energy, Infrastructure and Justice.

In approving the increase in spending, the committee justified that they have a significant load of initiatives, points of agreement and opinions, for which they require additional service providers to present them”. However, according to data from the Information Service for Parliamentary Statistics (Infopal), the workload has not been reduced in the committees.

The Treasury has a record of eight approved opinions since the 65th Legislature began, in September of last year; that of the Interior, chaired by Alejandro Moreno, national leader of the PRI, two; that of Energy, none, as well as that of Infrastructure. Meanwhile, that of Justice has 16 endorsed; the Budget, one (the public spending project for 2022), and the Constitutional Points, two.
