Five members of criminal groups allegedly involved in arms and drug trafficking were captured in Guárico, according to reports from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
In the El Remanso sector, San Gerónimo de Guayabal municipality, Guárico – Apure border, the military seized two 16-gauge shotguns, two unfired cartridges, one air pistol, Beretta brand, PX4 STORM model, and a charger.
The material was seized from Miguel Enrique Aguilera Hurtado, Carlos Eduardo Estrada Escalona and Asdrúbal Ramón Colmenares Gutiérrez, members of the Los Gochos criminal group.
And in Zaraza (Guárico), two subjects were captured designated as drug dealers and identified as Luis Alejandro Arvelaez Ron (El Primo) and Beyra Josefina Martínez.
This procedure was carried out by agents attached to Detachment 343 of the GNB.
Among the seized from the detainees are 200 grams of cocaine and a digital scale.
Arvelaez and Martínez were handed over to the Public Ministry for criminal prosecution.
