More than 64,000 people have been vaccinated against influenza, nationwide, this through the vaccination days carried out by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) in conjunction with the Social Security Fund.
According to the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), a total of 64 thousand 529 vaccines have been applied against this disease, of which 49 thousand 87 doses have been placed by the Minsa; while the CSS has applied 15,442 doses against influenza.
In turn, the EPI indicates that the three health regions that have vaccinated the most people against influenza are: the Chiriquí Region, with 16,602; Veraguas with 7,122 and Coclé with 5,843 people immunized.
In the Bocas del Toro Region, meanwhile, 5,218 doses have been applied and in East Panama, 4,446 people against influenza.
Due to the heavy rains that have been recorded in the country, respiratory diseases are appearing, which is why the Ministry of Health reminds the general population to go to health centers, but especially everyone who is a chronic or cancer patient, pregnant and under 5 years old.
