The president of AySA, Malena Galmarinireceived this Thursday the Qatari Ambassador Battal Meajeb Al Dosar in the Water Treatment Plant located in Tigre, to promote the joint development of projects related to water care and the reduction of environmental impact.
“It was a pleasant and productive meeting, we were talking about the possibility of Qatar’s collaboration with some of the works that AySA needs to carry out to continue advancing in this challenge of universalizing the service,” said the president of AySA.
During the meeting, different institutional cooperation and collaboration mechanisms were established, and issues of common interest were highlighted, such as the search for alternative water sources, climate change, water reuse and desalination.
For his part, Ambassador Al Dosari declared that in Qatar they use the most modern forms and methodologies for water purification and sanitation, “taking into account that water surrounds us from three geographical fronts or cardinal points.”

In the same line, the Director of International Relations, Gonzalo Meschengieser He stated that one of the focuses of this exchange was the possibility of accessing drinking water from surface sources.
He also mentioned the interest on the part of the ambassador in Galmarini’s policy, which implies “the universalization of the service with large-scale projects that require very large investments,” the director pointed out.
Finally, the owner of Aysa announced that The ambassador will meet this Friday with the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa“to continue working on this possibility of signing financial support and exchange of information, knowledge and technology”, concluded the president of AySA.
Fernando Mantelli, vice president of the Deliberative Council of the municipality of Tigre and part of the technical team of the AySA Water Directorate and the water treatment plant, also participated in this meeting.
