The INE rejects the request to remove the PAN spot criticizing AMLO and Morena

“I don’t care, I’m not interested in money,” the president is heard, while Loret’s voice enters: “Another brother of President López Obrador clandestinely receiving cash in the midst of the electoral process,” news accompanied by images of the video broadcast on last July where the president’s younger brother, Martín Jesús, allegedly receives cash.

In a second scene, the president is heard saying “the corrupt are the most extravagant”, then Loret’s voice appears announcing the report on José Ramón López Beltrán, son of the president: “It reveals the luxurious life abroad that the son leads of the president”, he says, while images of the house in Houston, United States, are shown.

“Morenín darkening this story is ruining us. It’s time to change”, closes the PAN spot, which will continue to air, unless Morena manages to withdraw it by order of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF).

Morena demanded the removal of that message from the air due to alleged slander and because, she assured, its content could affect the local elections of six entities.

However, in a session of the INE Complaints and Denunciations Commission, the councilors unanimously rejected the Moreno petition, since –they pointed out– the spot does not contain slander (it does not make accusations about crimes that turn out to be false).
