Through the Solidarity Christmas program, the Government will donate 1.4 million pieces of pork and chicken to the population, with an investment of 25 million balboas, announced the Minister of Agricultural Development (MIDA), Augusto Valderrama and the general director of the Institute of Agricultural Marketing (IMA), Carlo Rognoni.

The head of the IMA indicated that the scheduled date for the distribution of the products of the 2023 Solidarity Christmas Program will take place from November 20.

Meanwhile, the MIDA minister expressed his gratitude to the Panamanian productive sector for facing great difficulties during these four years and continuing to be efficient in a courageous and creative way, contributing to the country’s food security and sovereignty.

At the time, Carlos Pitty, president of the National Association of Pig Farmers (Anapor) indicated that this program, for the fourth year, represents a government collaboration with the primary producer and agribusiness, generating jobs and leaving that wealth within Panama, by offer national and not imported products.

The president of the National Association of Poultry Farmers of Panama (Anavip), Luis Castroverde, stated that they are pleased to participate again in this program, which benefits vulnerable communities and low-income people who will be able to count on products during the end of the year. nationals to take to your table.
