The unofficial complaint of the theft of the cell phone of the former president, Evo Morales, sparked the imagination of netizens on social media who did not spare words or concepts to satirize the event that occurred in the municipality of La Guardia (Santa Cruz), on Sunday night.

The common denominator of the teasing was the content of the telephone set and the speculations ranged from the contacts he has to the messages that the former president could have sent on his WhatsApp.

The initial kick was given by the deputy from La Paz, Juaninto Angulo (MAS), who in the morning hours did not hesitate to accuse the United States as part of this robbery and asked the Police to find the cell phone, that statement caused more than a loud laugh from Internet users on Twitter.

The Minister of Government, Carlos Eduardo Del Castillo, who published a photograph of the fleeting meeting he had with Evo Morales on Sunday night, received endless responses to his publication. cell phone theft comments and the police mobilization that the minister had to order.

“And the Bolivian FBI has already found your cell phone…?”, it was one of 68 comments posted in less than four hours. “Hey Sparkles, why did you peel your boss’s phone? @evoespueblo?” posted another netizen who responded to the post.

But those publications did not fall on deaf ears, because at the end of the afternoon it was Morales himself who published two tweets referring to his cell phone and in the first of them he pointed directly at the Minister of Government. “The theft of my cell phone happened in an act that had the presence of the Minister of Government and your safety”, he wrote in his personal account.

That publication no longer stopped the imagination of the tweeters who wrote what came to mind, most pointed to the Minister of Government as the author of the theft. In the night hours, the version emerged that Morales forgot his cell phone in one of the meetings he had in Santa Cruz.

But it is not the first time that in a MAS act they steal phones from the MAS leaders themselves. In August 2021 in the town of Warnes, At least six cell phones belonging to the high leadership of the MAS were stolen at the inauguration of the coliseum in that town, in addition to the wallet of the president of the Senate, Andrónico Rodríguez.
