With a view to the new edition of the Pre-Trip, for the establishment of the maximum rates, the last available low season rates in the main destinations of each province were taken as a reference, that is, the one corresponding to June or July 2022, depending on the characteristics of the place.

With this objective in mind, a survey of about 200,000 prices, explained the Ministry of Tourism.

Adherence, by means of an affidavit, will be voluntary for each tourist provider and will be a mandatory condition to participate in this new Pre-Trip.

By tourist destination, providers must adjust to the maximum rate established for each category and type of establishment (1 to 5 stars). The control will be in charge of the Ministry of Commerce and the accommodations that fail to comply will be excluded from both the third and future editions of the program.
