Citizens who will elect regional and municipal authorities on October 2 must choose three precincts where they would prefer to vote so that the National Office for Electoral Processes (ONPE) can assign them a voting location close to their home. The web application that allows you to make this selection will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 5.

The term expired at midnight this Friday, June 3, but was extended by the ONPE due to the great existing demand. At 7:00 p.m. there are 3,522,219 people who, throughout the country, have selected the options of their choice using the application “Choose your polling place” from a computer or from a cell phone.
Process independent of the previous one
This selection must be made by both those who wish to vote in a location other than the one assigned in previous elections and also those who wish to vote again in the same venue. Due to the fact that each electoral process is independent, the places where a previous vote has been taken will not be taken into account. Likewise, it is important to point out that it is possible that several of the premises available for previous processes may no longer be available for the elections.
To use the web application, you need to have an email and have your National Identity Document (DNI) at hand, because the data contained in this document verifies the identity of the user and thus prevents it from being impersonated.
face recognition
With a cell phone of at least mid-range, it is possible to verify identity through a facial recognition system and, for this, the citizen has to take a photograph.

The sooner a person selects the premises, the more likely it is that ONPE will assign one of them. The capacity of each location limits the number of voters it can receive.
Options in your district
The options of premises that are presented correspond to the district registered in the electoral roll prepared by Reniec for the ERM 2022 of October; that is, the district that appeared on the DNI until October 2, 2021, when said register was closed, is taken into account.
In addition to offering tutorial videos that help to use the application, the ONPE answers queries about its use through the ONPE Phone: 4170630 or through the free line 0800 79100 and our official social networks.
