The Seventh Preparatory Investigation Court will see next Tuesday, May 3, the requirement to incorporate third parties civilly responsible in the investigation of the former mayor of Lima Susana Villaran for the Odebrecht and OAS cases.
The hearing will be held that day from 9:30 am due to the request made by the Public Prosecutor’s Office during the session on Thursday, April 21.
The request was made to learn about the 400-page document presented last Wednesday night by the technical defense of the company Chirinos y Salinas Asociados.
The prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez has requested that this company and 9 others be included in the investigation against Villaran de la Puentewho is accused of having led a criminal organization between 2011 and 2014.
As it is recalled, the ex-burgomaster of the capital is prosecuted for five crimes: money laundering, own passive bribery, illicit association, generic falsehood and false statement.
According to the Public Ministry, villaran would have received illegal contributions from the Odebrecht and OAS companies to finance the NO campaign for the recall.
Specifically, the fiscal thesis indicates that Susana Villaran would have received US$ 3 million for the ‘No to the recall’ campaign by Odebrecht and that the Brazilian company OAS it would also have contributed another US$ 3 million.
