The City Council of Rio de Janeiro is expected to swear in tomorrow (23) councilor Matheus Floriano (PSD), substitute for the former policeman. and youtuber Gabriel Monteiro. Floriano’s call was published in today’s edition (22) of official diary of the House.
Gabriel Monteiro (PL) had his mandate revoked on Thursday (18), with 48 votes in favor and two against. He was accused of breaking parliamentary decorum for staging a minor in a shopping mall, assaulting a homeless person invited to stage a robbery in Lapa and videotaped sexual intercourse with a minor.
The inauguration of Matheus Floriano is scheduled for tomorrow, at 16:00, in the plenary of the City Council. The published text justifies the call “due to the loss of the mandate of Councilor Gabriel Monteiro, for conduct incompatible with parliamentary decorum, according to Resolution No. 1,574, of August 18, 2022”.
