They reject the educational reform proposal and consider essential the possibility of choosing through diversified high schools, as well as they do not believe it reasonable to rank certain areas of knowledge over others.
The arts and humanities should remain in the curriculum, the union said in a statement.
The students demand an instance of dialogue and collective construction in which the different actors in education can express their opinions regarding the current reform plan. Said instance must include the members of all the unions of the high schools of the country as well as representatives of the educational order ADES and FENAPES.

Likewise, the student union rejects the unprecedented 56 million dollar budget cut, assures that the lack of multidisciplinary teams dedicated to the mental health care of IAVA students and in general is unjustifiable, and request that their accessibility claims to the high school facilities are addressed.
