in the last hours sports monitor passed away from the Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of Valle del Cauca, Indervalle, Sandra Patricia Montenegro, who had been attacked with gunshots by unknown persons, while he was teaching one of his sports classes in the Guanabanal district of the municipality of Palmira, in the department of Valle del Cauca.
The events were recorded over the weekend and, according to preliminary versions, while the teacher was teaching her class, unknown individuals arrived, intercepted her and, without saying a word, they shot him repeatedly in front of all his underage students.

Minutes After the attack, the teacher was helped by the community and transferred to a health center, where she finally died.
Faced with this attack, the Secretary of Security of Palmira, Rodrigo Cepeda, offered a reward of up to five million pesos to find those responsible for the murder of the sports monitor, who also served as a social leader.
“We offer a reward of up to $5 million pesos for those who provide us with information that allows us to capture the subjects who perpetrated this violent act,” said the official.
Likewise, the Secretary highlighted thatthat the municipal administration rejects this type of violent acts against the community, and specified that together with the authorities, the Mayor’s Office will work so that this area of the municipality of Palmira is consolidated as a scene of peace.

So far, the authorities are working to clarify whether the mobiles of the murder of the sports monitor correspond to a femicide or to her work as a social leader.
It is worth noting that in the middle of the hitman attack, no student was injured.
