In the Café en la Mañana program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the president of the Nevado Mission, Maigualida Vargas, urged the population to become aware of the use of fireworks in the presence of companion animals for what that the objective of the institution is to carry out the protection and protection of dogs and cats.
“Pets tend to listen more intensely than human beings, which is why the use of fireworks causes cardiac effects, anxiety, anguish, and panic attacks,” Vargas said.
He also indicated that the population should become aware to reduce these consequences caused by fireworks, which also affects older people and people with autism.

Likewise, the president of the Nevado Mission, expressed that the feeding of the animals is fundamental, since there are products that are toxic such as chocolates, nuts, peanuts, and hazelnuts, which can cause allergic reactions.

In turn, he reiterated that awareness and action against animal abuse has increased in the country, through the response of security agencies and the action of the population that makes complaints in cases of abuse towards the different animal species.

He recalled that the Nevado mission offers an X-ray service at the Nuevo Circo Veterinary Center to offer alternatives to the population due to the high costs of veterinary medicine.
