Sheinbaum announces school to train cable car operators

Sheinbaum indicated that Italian and Swiss technology was used for the construction of these two lines; however, the transfer is sought by training engineers from the Electric Transportation System (STE) to create specialists in the field.

He gave as an example the construction of the two cablebus lines in Iztapalapa and Gustavo A. Madero as projects that take into account social and economic development and environmental sustainability at the same time.

“They go precisely to the poorest areas of the city and transport the poorest of the city to the Mexico City Metro. What does that mean? Well, it is the best transport for those who have less. What content is there in that policy? A content of sustainable development, economic development for the area, because the cable car is going to bring economic development to the area, the well-being of those who have less is taken care of and the best technology is put in place, ”he said.

The two Cablebús lines that exist in the city are to the north and east: Line 1, in Gustavo A. Madero, which runs from Cuautepec to Indios Verdes in a 9.2-kilometer section; as well as Line 2 in Iztapalapa, which goes from Constitución de 1917 to Santa Marta, with 10.5 kilometers.

This year will start the construction of the third line of the Cablebus in Chapultepec that will pass through the Fourth Section of the Forest, which will be built with resources from the Government of Mexico and will be in charge of the Government of the capital.
