According to the bill, the Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB) now includes this methodology. The alternation pedagogy foresees that, during two weeks of the month, the young people learn general and technical knowledge in the school focused on the agricultural reality. In the next fortnight, students will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge in the field, usually on family properties or in the vicinity of the school.

For the project’s rapporteur, former senator Pedro Chaves (MS), “studding” schools can result in dropout, repetition and exclusion, and organizing the classroom in a dynamic and multiple way is one of the factors that lead to quality in education. . According to the senator, 270 institutions adopt the model in Brazil, serving around 17,000 students.
