The judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center of the South Prison imposed the measure on them, for which their lawyers promoted an amparo against article 167 of the National Code of Criminal Procedures.
The defendants lost their protection and filed an appeal for review before a collegiate court, which decided to send the case to the SCJN, so that on Wednesday the ministers of the first chamber will vote on the draft sentence prepared by Minister Piña.
