Sanitary operations continue in restaurants, bars and canteens

Once again, the authorities of the Metropolitan Health Region fell to restaurants, beauty parlors, grocery stores, bars and barbecues in the San Francisco district in order to verify compliance with the sanitary standards established by the Environmental Sanitation team. and the Department of Food Protection (DEPA).

During the inspection, the Public Health team verified and complied with sanitary regulations such as that food handlers had their current health cards, that the provision of food was adequate, among others.

In addition, the authorities reiterated to the merchants and their collaborators that these operations are routine actions of the Ministry of Health, through its regions for the surveillance and food safety of the population.

Likewise, they insisted to the population that the sanitary permits, inspections, operator and food handler health cards are procedures carried out and granted in the Health Centers and in the Metropolitan Regional Directorate, not through intermediaries.

They recalled that the monetary sanctions imposed for non-compliance with the sanitary regulations in force in the country must be paid at the cashiers of the centers or the regional directorate depending on the seriousness of the fault and that the inspection personnel do not request money for these inspections.

The Ministry of Health maintains health operations through its regions, since public health is a responsibility and a commitment to the entire population.
