The former soccer player Ronaldo Nazario regretted that the Brazilian coach, Adenor Leonardo Bacchi ‘Tite‘, would not have included in the list of those summoned to Qatar World Cup 2022 to the young promise Endrick16 years old.
“They are complaining about the absence of Gabigol (Flamengo), but if it were to take one, to be part of the group still with little chance of acting, I would have taken Endrick,” Ronaldo declared on his Twitch network channel.
Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, forward for Palmeiras and considered the new jewel of Brazilian football, has successfully started his career at Verdao, after a series of record goalscoring in the lower categories of the São Paulo club. “I think he is a boy with a very promising future and that he is already acting as a professional. It would be a sensational experience for him and for the future of the national team,” Ronaldo completed.
The second greatest gunner in the history of the World Cups recalled that at the age of 17 he was called by the then coach Carlos Alberto Parreira to play in the 1994 World Cup in the United States and thus joined the champion list despite not having acted.
“It’s something that I feel is missing in the Brazilian team. In 2010 (South Africa), Dunga didn’t take Neymar with all of Brazil asking for him, but in 1994 Parreira took me and in 2002 Felipao (Luiz Felipe Scolari) took Kaka” to the World Cup in Japan -South Korea, commented Ronaldo. In that sense, he considered that with “future planning, Endrick would be part of this call.”
With only five games as a professional, Endrick has already scored three goals and provided one assist and this year he won the titles of the Copa Sao Paulo for juniors and the U’20 and U’17 national tournaments, finishing as a scorer in all three.
