The Public Ministry (MP) appointed the prosecution 83 of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Caracas (AMC) to carry out the investigation of officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) for an attack perpetrated against an elderly man in a commercial premises, located in Ruperto Lugo, Libertador municipality.

The information was released on Monday by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Saab explained that the older adult was beaten “savagely – violating his human rights”, while “he was in a bakery: brutal event that occurred on Calle Real de Ruperto Lugo, Libertador Municipality” .

The fact was recorded by users of social networks through a video in which PNB officials are observed with the victim.

In another message, Saab specified that the police officers will be charged with the crimes of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatmentto later be deprived of liberty.

“SUCH UNIFORMED CRIMINALS WILL BE #CHARGED FOR THE CRIMES OF CRUEL, INHUMAN AND DEGRADING TREATMENT TO BE DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY,” Saab said on Twitter.
