Rodríguez: Exemplary sanctions must be applied against thieves

The National Assembly (AN) approved this Tuesday unanimously, the Bill for the Protection of Assets, Rights and Interests of the Republic and its Entities Abroad.

He president of the national assemblydeputy Jorge Rodríguez, agreed to apply “exemplary and exemplary” sanctions against the people involved in the dispossession of goods and assets belonging to Venezuela abroad, raised by the deputy and president of the Permanent Commission on Domestic Policy, Diosdado Cabello, who presented the bill before the plenary.

During the debate on the legal instrument, the head of Parliament deplored the robbery carried out by the leaders of the Venezuelan extreme right, who attacked the country’s assets outside the territory.

“Could it be that they are psychotic or need some type of intravenous anti-delusional medication, and wait a while for them to regain consciousness, orientation in time and space, and above all that they stop hallucinating and delirious?; but it is not that, it is that they are after the reals of the Republic that they want to steal from them”, Rodríguez sentenced.

In this sense, he agreed with what was stated by parliamentarian Cabello, in applying more severe sanctions to punish those who attack the nation’s heritage.

“I completely agree with what Deputy Diosdado Cabello proposes that we be exemplary and exemplary in the application of sanctions, whatever they may be,” he reiterated.

Null actions against Venezuelan assets

“We clearly and unequivocally declare absolutely null and void any action or attempt by an international organization that is against State assets that belong to the people of Venezuela, they do not belong to the United States or to any political group of the Venezuelan opposition,” said Diosdado Cabello. during his intervention.

The head of the government’s parliamentary faction said that this norm complements the already approved Asset Forfeiture Law for its application in necessary cases.

Cabello also proposed exemplary sanctions against people who usurped public office, as well as those law firms and “lobbyists” that have intervened in the theft of Venezuelan assets.

“We are not guided by any other interest, but to safeguard the interests of our people (…) It is an opportunity for this to begin its application jointly and immediately,” he stressed.

After the norm was voted in plenary, the head of the Venezuelan parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, declared the new Law sanctioned, which was sent to the National Executive for its promulgation in accordance with the provisions of article 213 of the Constitution of the Republic Bolivarian from Venezuela.

Opposition leaders seek to finance campaign

Rodríguez criticized that a former deputy of the extinct National Assembly of 2015 “has just been given” more than 360 million dollars.

At the beginning of May, the US Department of State granted Dinorah Figuera access to bank accounts with millions of Venezuelan dollars in that country -previously in charge of Juan Guaidó-, corresponding to funds frozen by the Unilateral Coercive Measures imposed against the nation. bolivarian.

The president of Parliament recalled that Figuera belongs to the party of the opposition Henrique Capriles Radonski, and expressed that the politician seeks to finance his electoral campaign for the opposition primaries with “the money of the Venezuelans, who are stealing it.”

“In that delusional complex that is installed, what is there is a string of thieves. Mrs. Figuera is a thief, Capriles Radonski is a thief, Rosales is a thief, Juan Guaidó is a thief and Julio Borges is a thief (…) all of them, who are dividing up the half-empty bottle, are thinking about how to finance their campaign for the misnamed primaries”, he emphasized.
