Management of Lacalle Pou: 46% approve and 43% disapprove, according to a Cifra survey

46% of the population approves the presidential management of Luis Lacalle Pou while 43% disapprove. 11% do not approve or disapprove or have no opinion, according to a new survey by the consulting firm Cifra, released this Tuesday on Telemundo.

The percentages vary depending on which party the respondents declare they have voted for in 2019. Among those who voted for the National Party, 82% approve and the 11% disapproveamong those who voted for another party in the multicolored coalition a 81% approve and 12% disapprove while in the Broad Front the percentages are reversed. This latest survey shows an increase from 2% in presidential approval given that in February 2023, 44% approved the management and 42% disapproved.

Better balance than the last two governments of the Broad Front but worse than the first

If the approval of Luis Lacalle Pou is compared in the same period as that of the last governments, Lacalle has better approval at this point than the last government of Tabaré Vázquez and that of José Mujica, although compared to this, he has more opinions negative.

In March 2018, 27% approved of Vázquez’s management and 50% disapproved of it. In April 2013, the 42% approved the management of José Mujica and 35% disapproved.

The first period of Tabaré Vázquez is the one who had the best approval with a 55% and 23% disapproval.
