Repair of the ANP dock in Nueva Palmira

Repair of the ANP dock in Nueva Palmira

The works to repair pillars and place defenses at the connection dock towards the northern dock of the National Ports Administration (ANP), of Nueva Palmira, were made official.
The structure has been affected for years by the collision of tugboats, the ANP indicated. The work is carried out by the company Teyma Uruguay SA

The announcement was made this Wednesday the 18th, at a press conference at the port complex, led by the President of the National Ports Administration, Juan Curbelo, the Vice President Captain (r) Daniel Loureiro, the Captain of Ports Andrés Passarino and the deputy Mario Colman.

Curbelo highlighted the signing of the beginning “of a long-awaited, highly requested and really very necessary work for the operations that take place here in the port of Nueva Palmira. It will cost more than 2 million dollars, and will last six months.”

“It means restoring a dock that was in very poor condition, which really complicated operations a lot. In fact, somewhere on that dock it was no longer operating. With this repair, installation and placement of all the defenses, we will be able to generate the conditions so that we can work in the best way in a port that is strategic for us. It is a port that has not had any work done for many years and we are committed in this period of government to making quality investments,” he highlighted.
