Recoleta returns to Intermediate after 20 years

At the Roque Battilana stadium, the Funebrero sealed his promotion to the second category of Paraguayan soccer by triumphing today with goals from Elías López, José Espínola and a brace from Fernando Galeano.

César Alonso, in the complementary stage, scored the stoppage goal for Colón JAS.

This triumph left Recoleta with 65 points as absolute leader and already unattainable for the other competitors when there are two days left for the end of the championship.

The last time the canaries were in Intermediate was in 2003: On October 4 of that year, they were defeated 2-0 by Nacional -which rose to the First Division- and then went down.

The entrance Recoleta returns to Intermediate after 20 years was first published in diary TODAY.
