The Embassy of Venezuela in Mozambique received the visit of a delegation from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to accompany the celebration of the 12th Congress of the FRELIMO Moçambique party and to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Commander Chávez’s visit to that nation in the south of Africa.
Said delegation met with Joaquim Chissano, former president of Mozambique, as reported by the Venezuelan embassy on its social media account, reviewed by AVN.
“The PSUV Party delegation that accompanies the celebration of the 12th Congress of the FRELIMO party, met with Joaquim Chissano, former president of Mozambique, with whom they were able to talk about the 20th anniversary of Commander Hugo Chávez’s visit to Maputo,” he said.
He added that the ties of brotherhood between both nations have been reaffirmed with said visit by the PSUV delegation.
«Since the visit made 20 years ago by Commander Chávez to Mozambique, the ties of brotherhood with that nation have deepened; ties that were reaffirmed today by the PSUV delegation during its participation in the plenary session of the 12th FRELIMO Congress,” the embassy said.
