The regional leadership of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the state of Barinas reiterated its unrestricted support for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and condemned the aggression suffered by the Syrian Arab Republic.
Colonel Carlos Osorio, political director of the PSUV in the Llanera entity, called on the governor and the opposition mayors to fully recognize Maduro as constitutional president, based on article 136 of the Magna Carta, as well as the recognition of the electoral results of the 28th. of July and the rulings of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
In addition, he assured that Maduro will assume the presidency on January 10 as “president of the people.”
The PSUV leader also expressed his full support for the statement from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry on the aggression against Syria, condemning imperialist interference and the actions of extremist groups. He described the situation as an example of imperialist aggression that seeks to exterminate people and generate instability.
Osorio took the opportunity to highlight the commemoration of several patriotic dates: the 165 years of the Battle of Santa Inés in the context of the Federal War; the vindication of the Bolivarian flags by General Ezequiel Zamora; and the 194 years of the last proclamation of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in Santa Marta, Colombia.
He urged the militancy and the people to read and understand the Bolivarian message of unity and struggle, in defense of social achievements and with the support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
Finally, he referred to the bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho, highlighting the figure of Marshal Antonio José de Sucre and remembering the fight for American independence. He affirmed that the memory of the heroes of Ayacucho invites us to continue the fight for the historical vindication of the Venezuelan people.
