The Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, installed on Wednesday the national table promoting public consultation to transform the laws of People’s Power.

The information refers that the activity was chaired by Arreaza in the company of deputies and deputies that make up the special commission of the National Assembly in charge of this process and spokespersons for the organized people.
From the spaces of the ministerial body in Caracas, Arreaza asserted that “it is necessary to systematize and shape all the proposals in a structural way and reflect the sentiment from the bases, to advance in the reform of the laws of People’s Power.”
He pointed out that one of the elements that President Maduro has requested as part of the new era is to use technologies for debate and the contributions of public consultation from the collective and the particular, according to a press release from MinComunas.
“The technologies will help us to systematize and capture the critical issues that the community members expose for the reform of the legal instruments,” he asserted.
In his speech, the minister emphasized that socialism must be built in the territory to make economic and political decisions, with the neighbors, the school, the family, the community council and the commune.
“It is with them that we must build values and new production models, so that the project is sustained (…) we must work with the constituted power, the Missions and the Mission System, to create a new democracy.”
He emphasized that it is necessary to rescue the Assembly of Citizens and Citizens to activate the assembly spirit, and that everyone is part of the decision-making to promote the projects of the territory.
Contributions for the reform of laws
During the development of the meeting, the Vice Minister of Participation and Community and Social Organization, César Carrero, stressed the importance of the renewal of spokespersons and the public consultation debate, which will allow inputs so that the AN, through the Special Commission, discuss the contributions for the reform of the laws.
“Right now we have 120 people connected, 14 deputies, members of the Congress of the New Era, the Missions, women from social movements, community members and community members with successful experiences, as well as guests of Fundacomunal,” he specified.
Carrero assured that this table is to deepen the bases of popular organization and participatory and protagonist democracy.
While, the president of the Special Commission for the Transformation of the Laws of Popular Power of the AN, deputy Blanca Eekhout, highlighted how one of the advances of these reforms is the support of public and private banks for the proposals of the communes productive in the country.
The spokesman for the Presidential Council of Communes of Miranda, Andy Fruto, indicated that this public consultation will be carried out in more than 3,000 communes to strengthen the Citizens’ Assembly.
The installation of the table had representation from all the states of the country under the modality of videoconference.
